Hi, My Name Is Sarah Peck
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). In addition to being a National Certified Counselor (NCC), I'm also trained in EMDR and Level 1 of the Gottman Method. For three years, I worked as a school counselor and have experience with adults and adolescents in behavioral health settings. My passion is working with clients dealing with trauma and helping them process it. I believe in a strengths-based approach to counseling and focus on helping individuals identify their inner resources for growth. I strive to create an atmosphere of respect, safety, and empowerment within the therapeutic relationship. My goal is to help my clients find balance, healthy coping skills, and self-acceptance.
I enjoy working with individuals who are struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, pregnancy and postpartum, sexual abuse, relationship difficulties, and low self-esteem. My style is direct but compassionate; I strive to create an environment where clients can feel at ease and be comfortable sharing their thoughts and experiences. I help clients examine their current body image, process emotions behind it, and build a positive mind set.
I believe that each person has the potential to live a life of joy and fulfillment. I honor the courage of my clients for taking the first step in seeking help and am committed to helping them find their own unique path of growth and healing. Through therapy, I aim to provide support, guidance, and insight so that individuals can develop healthier relationships with themselves and others.

I earned my M.Ed in counseling, specializing in supporting students in a community heavily impacted by trauma. During my tenure as a school counselor, I played an active role in collaborating with the local women's shelter. Moreover, I initiated and orchestrated a successful mentorship program within the school, connecting college students with students in need of guidance and support.

I received my B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. I interned for the local women's shelter and was a part of the program that presented in schools the difference between safe and unsafe touch.
