Hi, my name is Sarah Peck
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a diverse professional background. I bring extensive experience in social work, teaching, and school counseling to my practice. Additionally, I have worked in psychiatric hospitals, gaining valuable insight into mental health challenges and effective therapeutic approaches. With this comprehensive background, I am passionate about providing holistic support to individuals seeking to enhance their mental well-being.

Working with teens and adolescents facing various mental health challenges has been both rewarding and fulfilling. Through my experience, I have supported individuals dealing with trauma, self-harm, suicidal ideation, anxiety, depression, anger management, perfectionism, stress management, goal setting, and grief. Witnessing their resilience and growth has consistently inspired me to provide compassionate care and tailored interventions to help these young individuals navigate their unique journeys towards healing and well-being.

EMDR
I provide evidence-based EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy for those who have experienced trauma. I have extensive experience in helping individuals find resolution to traumatic memories, especially those that are long-standing or feel insurmountable. Together we can tap into the body’s natural healing abilities and explore the underlying causes of distress in order to restore a sense of safety and control. I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for my clients to process and grow. EMDR is an evidence-based approach to healing trauma that can help facilitate lasting change. It has been found to be successful in relieving symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other emotional distress. My goal is to empower clients in their own healing process and work together to bring about lasting change.

I'm a Level 1 Gottman Certified therapist at The Peaceful Path, PLLC, specializing in couple and family therapy for adults. With a deep commitment to fostering understanding and connection, my approach is rooted in evidence-based practices. Play Therapy
As a therapist, play therapy allows me to step into children's worlds, using the universal language of play to communicate and understand their experiences on a deeper level. It's truly remarkable how through games, drawings, and imaginative play, children begin to express themselves, revealing their thoughts and emotions in ways they might not be able to articulate verbally. My goal is always to create a safe and welcoming environment where they feel valued and understood.
